H I S T O R Y   O F   T H E    r e s i d e n c e

Marina del Forte it isn't actually a town or a city: it's a large area in Marina di Bibbona (40 Km. south from Livorno), a hamlet situated on the coast at the south-east of the medieval village of Bibbona. In the beginning of the century, the whole area was covered by water; then, around the first half of the 1900, the marshes were all drained and the fertile lands were cultivated. Around the '70, the  fields became suitable for building and they were purchased by Sofinco Management, which built the first group of flats (named B Lot). To the B Lot followed two other groups ( C and A ) and, ten years later, a fourth one, the H Lot, also called Bolgherello, with a total of 1500 flats distributed in a green English-style park 500.000 meters large.
